Gladys immigrated to Australia in 1985 to study Speech Pathology on a full scholarship. After graduation, she went on to work in the not-for-profit and education sectors before establishing her own speech pathology clinic.

In 2007, Gladys' communication skills were recognised and used to government-to-public engagement. She was appointed by the Hon Ted Baillieu as the Special Adviser on Chinese Affairs. Gladys was instrumental in pioneering cross cultural engagement from the office of the Premier of Victoria.

The law does not operate in vacuum. True value from corporate and commercial legal services requires in-depth understanding of the clients’ needs and their ever-changing operating environments. With his extensive experience, connection and knowledge, Robert will assist us in deepening our understanding of our clients’ needs.

In 2011, her work extended to engaging and facilitating Chinese businesses both in Victoria and China. She accompanied Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu in 2012 on his Super Trade Mission to China. She also assisted Victorian Premier Denis Napthine in 2014 as part of the Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s Trade Mission to China.

Gladys stood as a Candidate for the Legislative Council in the 2014 Victorian State Election. Her extraordinary effort in broadening Chinese understanding and involvement in Australian politics was widely appreciated and valued.

Gladys has recently joined Canaan Lawyers as the Head of Business Development and Adviser of Corporate Social Responsibility.

In addition to her busy work commitments, Gladys still finds time to be the AFL Multicultural Ambassador, founded the Australian Shero Association this year and serves as an Honorary Adviser for many community organisations.
